For those of you that haven't heard there is going to be a rebooted Superman movie, This time under the title of Man of Steel,(I'm not a big Superman fan but that's a pretty epic title)what makes this story a little more interesting is the news that it will be written by David Goyer. Now Goyer was also the writer for Batman Begins, snd The Dark Knight, two very well acclaimed and great movies. He is also currently signed on to write X-Men Origins: Magneto, and the third Batman installment. What has added even more interest has been the announcement that Jonah Nolan, who is co-writing the third Batman movie alongside Goyer, has also signed on to co-write the Man of Steel movie. Not to mention the fact that Christopher Nolan has agreed to nanny, or "godfather" the Superman movie. So to sum up this means that the same dynamic team that revolutionized Batman is now taking the reigns of the Superman franchise. Personally I'm excited about this, I'm not a huge Superman fan for the fact that I feel he is too invincible, to far away from someone people can identify with unlike Batman, he's someone they wish they could be instead of someone who makes it seem attainable, and I feel Batman inspires more of a message. But i do love Superman for his perseverance, his moral code, and his ability to stick to his guns (plus if you've ever seen the Justice League cartoon on Cartoon Network, those titanic punches and the sound they make are incredible) so I'm excited for this movie. He is a big role model in American culture and if this team can bring the same depth, passion, action and story to this movie that they did to the Batman films, then i thoroughly can't wait.
Thanks for reading.
P.S. I know Superman is called the Man of Steel hence the title, I just think it's a bad ass choice to name the movie that.

My first new blog so I chose David Hayter :)
David Hayter and Black Widow the movie. Now a long time ago David Hayter had begun writing a script for a movie adaptation of the comic book character Black Widow a.k.a Natasha Romanoff(who you can see in Iron Man 2). But then it mysteriously disappeared from the chatter and was decided by marvel that it wouldn't be made. This was upsetting to many fans of David Hayter's work. For those of you that don't know David Hayter wrote X-Men 1&2 and the screenplay for the Watchmen movie, as well he is the voice of the great and infamous Snake form the Metal Gear Solid series. So what happened to the movie? Well in the book TALES FROM THE SCRIPT: 50 HOLLYWOOD SCREENWRITERS SHARE THEIR STORIES David Hayter reveals what happened, here's his story taken from latinoreview.com :
An excerpt:
DAVID HAYTER: I had a very solid relationship with Marvel, having worked on a number of films with them, and I was looking for something to write and direct. They brought up Black Widow, and I knew the character very well from the comic book. So I spent about a year working on the script, and I was extremely happy with it. Essentially, the story is a young Russian girl’s parents are killed, so she’s given to the KGB to be developed into a super spy. In her early teen years, the Soviet Union crumbles, so they decide to kill her. But at that point, she’s too tough to kill, so she escapes and makes her way to America. Then, years later, we catch up with her in present day. She’s a freelance mercenary, and she’s called back to where she was brought up to face her past. What I tried to do was use the backdrop of the splintered Soviet Empire – a lawless insane asylum with four hundred some odd nuclear missile silos. It was all about loose nukes, and I felt it was very timely and very cool. Unfortunately, as I was coming up on the final draft, a number of female vigilante movies came out. We had Tomb Raider and Kill Bill, which were the ones that worked, but then we had BloodRayne and Ultraviolet and Aeon Flux. Aeon Flux didn’t open well, and three days after it opened, the studio said, “We don’t think it’s time to do this movie.” I accepted their logic in terms of the saturation of the marketplace, but it was pretty painful. I had not only invested a lot of time in that movie, but I had also named my daughter, who was born in that time period Natasha – after the lead character in Black Widow. I named my daughter after a movie that I wasn’t working on anymore".
So i personally think this movie would have been amazing and i really wish it would have come out especially since BloodRayne, and Ultraviolet sucked, and personally I don't really like Kill Bill. Not to mention Black Widow is a great character and I love the work of David Hayter, not to mention if anyone could write a superhero/spy movie, he's the man for the job. I hope in the future Marvel decides to pick it up again.
Love ya David!

Frank Miller, Please Never Pen Another Batman
Okay, now to everyone before I start, first off, I am in love with what Frank Miller has done in the past, especially with Batman: Year One written in 1988 which is quite possibly my all time favorite Batman comic, it had amazing and fighting, titanic origins that I have never found anywhere else and it is a definite must read for all, I also love Dark Knight Returns(even though its kind of off topic and more political, but still good) which was written in the early 90's.
Now to the point, Frank Miller, you are the man that defined Batman and I have been a enormous fan of and admirer of Batman ever since Year One, you even called him a "as pure and good a hero as you'll ever find"(I may have messed up a word or two, but same message) But now you have gone and destroyed him.
In the series Dark Knight Strikes Again you have a whole series in which Batman is rarely mentioned not to mention, the writing is terrible, you try to use hip lingo, there is no background scenery, you put emphasis(the bold writing) at the completely wrong times making it sound like everyone has tourettes, and you took the Justice League (Superman, Wonder woman in particular) and have them working for Lex Luthor without any plausibility, does anyone honestly think they would ever ever let that happen, especially the always rebellious Wonder woman! Also you made Superman (who i'm not a big fan of but respect him) a moron, he's dumb impractical and you have Bruce tell him he never knew how to strategize though he constantly saved the world and the JLA with his plans.
Now back to Batman...
DC did a series for new readers of their comics called All Stars in which the old characters are retold for readers to not have to know their history, Batman was one of these, it's titled Batman and Robin All Star (I say read it, just stop at borders read it and leave to see this terror) In it Batman is murderous, kidnaps Robin after his parents death and terrorizes him, screaming at him and hitting him! He also makes several horribly pediphilic sounding statements about Robin! Not to mention that once again he repeats the same damn text over and over, Robin constantly repeating” they always catch me" 6 times on 2 pages and Vicky Vale saying she has "a date with Bruce Wayne" 7 times, also annoyingly everybody refers to Dick Grayson(Robin) as Dick Grayson age 12 every time they mention him!!!!!! I’m not kidding! Every fucking time!!!
Also Batman is beyond out of character, he kills cops, and when Robin asks who he is he says and I quote" ARE YOU RETARDED, I'M THE GODDAMN BATMAN!!!" does that sound like the Batman anybody on earth knows???
Also the sex is ridiculous Vicky is in a bra and panties, talking about Superman having a steel hard penis and her ass talks!!! oh and the original script Miller wrote for it says for the artist" make em drool, draw her a smoking hot babe with an ass that wont quit, draw a very real laced bra, get a great close-up of that perfect ass" etc. now I don’t want that person writing one of the greatest heroes of all time, do you?
Frank Miller, I respect you for your past but as far as I’m concerned you've fallen so far from grace, you built Batman’s amazing empire and now thoroughly destroyed it! That Batman mentioned above is for new readers to get to know him and you gave them a god awful abomination to the Batman name and cowl!
I hope for the legacy's sake you never pen another Batman comic again.

Actors i think should play Superheroes
First off obviously this is my own opinion, no one has to agree. :)
Second, Tony Stark/Iron Man, is already perfectly cast with Robert Downey Jr. Same with Edward Norton's Hulk, and same for Bale's Batman(assuming he fixes the voice) and Ryan Reynolds Deadpool. Oh and ALMOST the whole cast of X-Men especially Hugh Jackman Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart. As for The Fantastic 4 Johnny Storm was Perfect so was the Thing and maybe Jessica Alba as Sue but i didnt like Reed/Mr. Fantastic or Doom. Spider-Man:Personally i didn't like McGuire's Peter Parker he had none of the sarcasm and the personality was too timid and lacking passion. So...
-Spider-Man- Joseph Gordon Levitthe looks perpetually young enough to play high-school, he's funny, awkward, and yet can be dramatic and passionate.

http://screencrave.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/joseph-gordon-levitt.jpg(Levitt)
-Prince Namor- Without a doubt or dispute, Zachary Quinto, he pulled of his last pointy eared role so well im sure he can do it here, pluse he's muscular, can be a prick and looks just like him. http://www.elbakin.net/plume/xmedia/fantasy/news/autres_films/namor.jpg(Namor pic)

-Matt Murdock/Daredevil- Michael C. Hall, He is gruff, ripped, calm yet dangerous sounding, a voice that would be creepy coming out of a devil costume, looks pretty similar, and he can play dramatic. Not to mention Dexter(his current show) is more or less vigilante justice. Or Misha Collins(Castiel from Supernatural) he looks alot like him as well and is just plain awesome!

-Clint Barton/Hawkeye- Jensen Ackles, he plays a good rebellious give 'em hell attitude plus him slinging a bow and arrow would look majorly badass.

-Ghost Rider/Johnny Blaze-Again i suggest Jensen Ackles, we've already seen how much demon ass he kicks in Supernatural, plus him as a motorcycle daredevil is much more believeable then Nick Cage.
-Wonder Woman- Another toughie, i think Rachel McAdams would be great if she gets a bit of muscle tone, if its Meghan Fox i swear i will burn the studios.http://www.wallpaperbase.com/wallpapers/cartoons/wonderwoman/wonder_woman_1.jpg(Wonderwoman)

-Captain America- I love Jensen again or maybe even Jared Padalecki(if he cuts the hair) but i think Chris Pine would be okay, i can't really pick this one, Teddy Sears looks the part though.
